If you transport passengers or drive a truck on a daily basis, you fall into the category of drivers who need code 95. This applies to drivers who work in EU countries. In Russia, Ukraine, and Belarus, there is a similar course called the IRU code, but obtaining it does not allow you to work abroad, as it is not recognized there. This convention was recognized at the legislative level more than ten years ago. The Professional Competence Directive sets out the basic qualification requirements for potential professional drivers and requires them to take refresher courses. Mandatory retraining applies to every driver who wishes to maintain their professional competence. Drivers must take a refresher course every 5 years.
Code 95 training for drivers from Ukraine and Belarus is successfully conducted in Poland. This does not mean that this is the only place where you can take a retraining course. It is acceptable to choose another country at the driver’s discretion. It’s just that Poland offers more advantages for Russian-speaking students. First, Warsaw is closer, and second, the cost of training is significantly lower. In addition, no knowledge of other foreign languages is required to take the course.
