Code 95 — a certificate for working as a driver in the European Union

European Union countries impose high requirements on the professional training of drivers working in international passenger and freight transport.

The main requirement for working as a long-haul truck driver in Poland and the EU is having a professional Code 95 certificate. It is issued after initial or periodic training and is mandatory for drivers with categories C1, C, CE, D1, D, DE.

Code 95 provides the legal right to operate freight and passenger vehicles in EU countries and is required for official employment. Once you obtain the certificate, you can immediately present it to an employer and begin legal work in Poland or other European Union countries.

The Initial qualification is designed for drivers with category C obtained after September 9, 2009, who plan to work officially in Poland and EU countries.

Training duration is approximately one month, with groups starting every Tuesday.

The theoretical part is conducted remotely and includes studying educational materials and taking tests in a convenient format. Practical training is held in Warsaw, where you practice key skills: driving, parking, and proper cargo securing.

All classes are conducted in Russian, which simplifies learning and increases effectiveness.

Training stages

Step 1

Consultation

To enroll in the course, contact our manager, we will clarify the details and explain the procedure
Step 2

Registration

You come for registration on Tuesday, you need to bring a passport, driver's license, 3.5×4.5 photo, and notarized copies of documents.
Step 3

Medical/Psychological test

Wednesday - medical examination and psychological test. After receiving two certificates, you can travel outside the European Union. We obtain the PKZ number in the office for you.
Step 4

Online - Training

Friday - the first day of training. You will be given a login and password for your personal account, where you will study the given topics and solve tests daily.
Step 5

Practical training

Driving training takes place at our base in Warsaw, on a TIR. During the classes, you practice driving skills, maneuvering, and parking in real conditions.
Step 6

Exam

The exam is taken at the WORD state institution. The exam date is typically scheduled 1-3 days after registration. The exam is conducted in Russian. Exam fee: 50 PLN.

How long does the initial qualification last?

Initial qualification Code-95 lasts 28–35 days.

Practical training, what does it include?

The practical training for the initial qualification Code 95 includes: parallel parking, herringbone parking, tenting / tenting removal, wheel replacement, cargo fastening, features of working with a refrigerator, coupling / uncoupling of a semi-trailer.

Lecture schedule?

After registering for the Code 95 course, students are added to groups where the curator sends out the schedule of lectures and practical classes.

What is dangerous driving?

Dangerous driving — is a compulsory class that every student on a long course must attend. During this class, you will practice extreme driving skills in the presence of the Polish commission.

Where is the exam held after an initial qualification?

After completing the long course, all drivers are required to pass the Code 95 exam at WORD (Regional Road Traffic Centre), which is the regional traffic center. Students are given 45 minutes to answer all the questions on Code 95. There is only one correct answer for each question. A provincial commission is present at the exam. You must register in advance to take the test. Bring your passport, driver’s license, and PKZ profile with you.

How long to wait for the exam after completing the training?

The waiting time for the Code 95 exam in Poland depends on the workload of the WORD where you registered. Usually, the test is scheduled 1-3 days after registration.

How many questions are there on the exam paper?

The exam papers for Code 95 include two blocks of questions. The first main block consists of 20 questions, the second specialized block has 10.

How many mistakes are allowed when taking the exam?

You will pass the Code 95 exam if you make no more than 4 mistakes in the first block, and no more than 5 mistakes in the second.

How long to wait for the plastic card after passing the exam at WORD?

After successfully passing the exam at WORD, you will be able to receive Code 95 within 2-4 weeks.
