A driver’s card (Tachograph card) is a mandatory document without which it is impossible to work in European countries. It has a built-in electronic identifier key that contains all information about the driver’s work and rest periods.
The importance of obtaining a driver's card for international drivers
European (international) driver’s card is an electronic driver’s card that is issued as a single copy for 5 years and is linked to the driver’s license. Simply put, it’s a secure memory card that stores information about the driver’s work and rest periods.
Individual driver’s Tachograph card is a mandatory document for drivers, designed to monitor their actions over a specific period.
When the digital Tachograph card expires, it needs to be replaced. Every 5 years, drivers must go through the data registration procedure to issue a new document.
A truck driver’s card allows:
- recording any violations of rules committed during driving;
- monitoring compliance with work and rest periods;
- providing accurate information about data copying and usage.
What is a digital Tachograph?
According to European Union legislation, all vehicles with a capacity exceeding 3.5 tons must be equipped with electronic Tachographs. This is special equipment created to monitor speed, travel time, and compliance with rest and work periods while driving. All data is recorded on the driver’s Tachograph card.
The electronic device collects and stores the following information:
- distance traveled;
- speed;
- driving time;
- rest time.
In addition to individual cards, there are company Tachograph cards. They provide access to data for analysis without the ability to modify or delete it.

— Driver’s license scan copy (both sides);
— 1 document photo on white background, sent electronically;
— Completed application form (we provide the template);
— Scan copy of expired document (in case of card replacement);
— Driver’s license transcript from traffic police (with Polish translation).

The Tachograph card replacement procedure follows the same principle as initial registration.
Submit documents for renewal 2 months before the old card expires. The new chip’s validity period will start from the old card’s expiration date.
You need to order a new Tachograph card on our website. Production time will depend on the type. When replacing a lost card, its validity period will be the same as the previous one.
If a driver loses their card, they must order a new one within a week. They can drive without the document for up to 15 days.
